Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 14700 Hiram Clarke Road about 10:55 p.m. on Monday (July 8).
The identity of the male victim, in his 20s or 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer R. Romo reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was in a crosswalk and crossing the street at the above address when he was struck by a silver Pontiac G6 traveling northbound on Hiram Clarke. Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Pontiac’s male driver, 31, remained at the scene and was questioned.
Due to differing accounts from witnesses, it is unclear if the driver or pedestrian had the right of way. The investigation is continuing.
