Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14100 South Wayside Drive

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 14100 South Wayside Drive about 1:25 a.m. today (April 15).

The identity of the deceased female, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer S. Bourar reported:

The female was driving an orange Ford Mustang northbound at the above address when she failed to maintain a single lane, veered off the roadway and struck a metal culvert drain pipe in a ditch.  The vehicle then bounced backward onto the roadway.  Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
