Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 14000 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road that occurred about 5:05 a.m. today (November 9).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and E. Rubio reported:
The victim was on a bicycle when he exited the driveway of a business along the northbound service road at the above address. When he entered the service road, the victim was struck by a red Buick Park Avenue. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The male driver, 31, of the Buick remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
