| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 1400 West 43rd Street about 2:55 p.m. on Saturday (October 21).
The identity of the deceased male, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer C. Carrizal reported:
According to a witness, the man was driving a black GMC Sierra pickup truck at a high rate of speed eastbound near the above address when he lost control of the and struck a tree on the south side of the street.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in this crash.
