Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 13800 Gulf Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 South) service road about 2:15 a.m. last Friday (November 23).
The male victim, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The driver of a stolen white Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on the Scarsdale exit ramp from the Gulf Freeway when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck the median dividing the exit ramp from the service road. The Elantra then struck a sign on the median, crossed the southbound lanes of the service road, and struck a light pole.
The front male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The two rear seat passengers were transported by HFD paramedics to area hospitals in unknown condition.
The juvenile driver, 16, was arrested at the scene on aggravated robbery charges in connection with the carjacking of the Elantra that occurred about 45 minutes prior to the crash.
