| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13000 Westheimer Road about 5:55 p.m. last Thursday (July 2).
The identity of the female victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer M. Burton reported:
The driver of a white Lexus IS 250 was traveling northbound on Synott Road, approaching Westheimer Road to make a left turn. The driver of a black Porsche Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) traveling eastbound on Westheimer ran the red light at the intersection and struck the Lexus.
The driver of the Lexus (victim) died at the scene. The male driver, 55, of the Porsche, who was determined not to be intoxicated, was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Houston Methodist West Hospital with minor injuries.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
