Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12700 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 11:50 a.m. today (September 13).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer R. Saenz reported:
The male was driving a blue Hyundai Elantra eastbound at the above address. The Hyundai failed to maintain a single lane and struck a white Freightliner truck towing a trailer in an another lane. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the Hyundai deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the Freightliner truck was not injured and remained at the scene. He was questioned and did not show any signs of intoxication.
The investigation is ongoing.
