Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 12000 Fleming Drive about 9 p.m. last Friday (Sept. 18).
The identity of the male victim, 20, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The victim was operating a red Suzuki 600 motorcycle eastbound on Fleming at a high rate of speed when the driver of a silver Chevrolet HHR, traveling westbound on Fleming, turned left in front of the victim. The victim struck the Chevrolet and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired, and was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
