Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 11900 Clay Road about 2:25 a.m. today (October 29).
The identity of the female victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer G. Anderson reported:
The driver of a white Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Brittmoore when she may have run a red light at the intersection of Clay Road. The Focus struck a black Chrysler Aspen, traveling eastbound on Clay Road that then spun and struck a utility pole. The Aspen’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Focus remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
Currently, there are no charges in this crash, pending further investigation.
