Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11099 South Post Oak Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11099 South Post Oak Road about 9 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 4).

The identity of the deceased male, 51, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Johnson reported:

The male, a pedestrian, attempted to run across the street – not in a crosswalk – at the above address when he was struck by a black Kia Optima traveling southbound.  Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  

The male driver, 23, showed no signs of impairment and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
