Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10800 Foy Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10800 Foy Street about 10:40 a.m. today (March 1).

The identity of the deceased male, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer A. Hart reported:

The driver of a tan Lincoln Continental was traveling northbound near the above address when he struck a bicyclist also traveling on Foy Street.  The driver did not stop and continued to travel to his residence with the bicycle stuck under the front of the vehicle.

The victim was transported by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A witness followed the suspect to his residence in the 3200 block of Cedar Hill Lane, where he was detained by responding patrol officers. The driver was evaluated and determined not to be impaired.

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
