| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10800 Beechnut Street about 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday (October 25).
The identity of the deceased female, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer J. Johnson reported:
According to witnesses, the female (a pedestrian) was seen stumbling and crossing the eastbound lanes of the above address. At some point, she fell and was struck by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling eastbound on Beechnut Street.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
The male driver, 61, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
