| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10700 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road about 12:50 a.m. today (June 22).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer S. Bouarar reported:
The victim was driving a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck westbound near the above address when the vehicle failed to stay in a single lane and struck a traffic signal pole. The vehicle then caught on fire. The driver died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
