Houston police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 10300 Tanner Road about 5:10 a.m. today (Oct. 13).
The identity of the deceased female, 38, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer T. Riley reported:
A silver Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound at the above address when the driver struck a pedestrian standing in the roadway. The driver stopped the vehicle and attempted to render aid. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the Ford, 38, remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
