Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10000 Mykawa Road about 1:15 a.m. today (October 27).
The identity of the male victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer V. Garcia reported:
The driver of a red Mack cement mixer truck had just left a cement factory on Madden Lane. After stopping at a stop sign, the driver attempted to turn left onto Mykawa Road at the above address. The victim, driving a silver Toyota Avalon and traveling southbound on Mykawa Road, struck the cement truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no witnesses to the incident and further investigation will determine which driver was responsible for the crash.
The driver of the cement truck was not injured and remained at the scene. He was determined not to be intoxicated and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
