Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1000 West Sam Houston Parkway South

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1000 West Sam Houston Parkway South (Beltway 8) about 3:10 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 23).

The identities of a deceased female, 23, and deceased male, 21, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Bibb reported:

A female was driving a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound at the above address near the Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a freeway pillar.  Paramedics pronounced the female driver and male passenger deceased at the scene. 

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.  The investigation is continuing.
