| A man critically injured in a crash at 1000 Durham Drive about 5:40 p.m. on Monday (October 1) has died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim, 77, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer D. Jones reported:
The victim was crossing the street at the above address, not at a crosswalk, and was struck by a gray Jeep Wrangler making a left turn from Center Street onto Durham. The victim was transported by paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased on Wednesday (October 3).
The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
