Houston police are investigating the death of a male who was driven to a hospital at 7600 Beechnut about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday (September 2).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Burton and Detective K. Fregia reported:
Officers responded to a report of male with a gunshot wound who had arrived at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital at the above address. Hospital staff stated an unknown Hispanic male dressed as a security guard drove the victim to the hospital and advised staff he had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The unknown male then left the hospital on foot before officers arrived at the scene.
It is believed the shooting may have taken place in the 5900 block of Bellaire Boulevard.
