Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of three juvenile females found after a fire was extinguished at 8100 Albacore Drive about 5:45 a.m. on Sunday (August 4).
The identities of the females, 15, 11, and 9, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:
HPD patrol officers observed an apartment fire and attempted to enter the apartment. Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to the scene and, after extinguishing the fire, found three deceased juvenile females.
A preliminary investigation determined an adult male with the juveniles attempted to get them out of the apartment when the fire started, but was unable to do so.
The investigation is pending the causes of death of the three children.
The Houston Fire Department Arson Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
