Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a child at 7825 Corporate Drive about 2 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 18).
The identity and cause of death of the girl, age 2, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Thomas and Officer R. Moss reported:
Houston Fire Department firefighters were called to an apartment fire at the above address. After putting out the fire, firefighters discovered the victim deceased inside a bedroom. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the HFD Arson Division.
