| Houston police are investigating the assault of a woman at 3215 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610) service road about 1:05 a.m. today (May 17).
The victim, Melissa Reed, 28, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers S. Ragsdale and C. Grahmann reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call at the above address. A preliminary investigation indicated Ms. Reed was assaulted by at least three suspects known to her. The suspects struck Reed with their hands, feet and a hammer and then fled the scene.
