Houston police are investigating the assault of a male that occurred at 11231 Lera at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 5).
The victim, Terrance Murphy, 35, was transported to Lyndon Baines Johnson General Hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Major Assaults Unit Officers K. Persad and D. Morrison reported:
The victim stated he was at a house in his neighborhood in the early morning hours when an argument ensued with the suspect. He believed the suspect had smoked illegal narcotics and then struck him in the head several times with what he believed was a crowbar. The victim then left the location and returned to his residence, at the above address, and called 9-1-1. The victim, who suffered a severe laceration to his eyebrow, was unclear of where and when the assault occurred but stated the suspect might go by the name “Neil.”
