| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and apparent suicide of a man that occurred at 7930 Corporate about 12:05 p.m. on Sunday (April 29).
The deceased woman, Jessica Morales, 31, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. The alleged shooter, Wilson Bautista, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
An eight-year-old girl also suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Mermorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Sullivan and C. Elder reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Ms. Morales and Bautista unresponsive inside the apartment. Both were pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
After interviewing witnesses and family members, it appears Bautista shot Morales before turning the gun on himself. The girl was apparently struck by a stray round during the incident.
