Mayor Sylvester Turner and the Department of Neighborhoods (DON) invite Houston high school students in grades 9-12 to apply for the 2022-23 Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC). The term of office runs October 2022 to May 2023.
Modeled after the elected City Council, the MYC provides youth the opportunity to learn about city government, share issues of concern with city officials, and gain civic leadership skills through community service activities.
The application deadline is August 12, 2022. Applicants must be residents of Houston. To apply, go to www.bit.ly/MYC2223.
