HOUSTON – The Houston Health Department and the local medical community are opening the first of four free COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites for high-risk symptomatic people.
The first site will open Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. to healthcare providers and first responders experiencing symptoms.
People who simply show up to a site will not get tested and may run the risk of becoming infected with COVID-19. Information about the initial screening process is being provided to medical professional and first responder organizations.
Additional information will be provided at Mayor Turner’s noon news conference on March 20, 2020 in the Legacy Room at Houston City Hall.
