WHERE: 1700 block of Vassar, 77098
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $6,050 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Undetermined. (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters from Station 16 arrived on scene within five minutes to find a smoldering fire in the deck boards, support boards and deck railing of a home. They extinguished the fire and ensured all hotspots were out. It appeared the fire was caused by an electrical wire that was plugged into lights on the exterior of the house.
