DAMAGE: $30 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story home. They made an offensive attack on the fire located in the attic. The house was ventilated, and a primary search was completed with all occupants safely outside and uninjured. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and contained it the attic. The occupants had been using space heaters, which caused the electrical breakers to trip several times. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the family. Crews from Stations 55, 23, 21, 46, 24, 47 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
