WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: June 15, 2024, at 3:25 p.m.
WHERE: Near the 3100 block of Friar Point Rd. 77051.
INJURIES: One deceased civilian found.
PROPERTY SAVED: $35,668 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $130,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house with a report of a person trapped. They began a search of the home, while attempting to control the fire. Due to the conditions of the roof, the crews were unable to ventilate it. A deceased individual was found inside the home. The Medical Examiner was notified and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 51 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 55, 36, 23, 21, 46, 47, 24, 37, Heavy Rescue 11 and Rehab 17.
