WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: October 28, 2024, at 11:40 a.m.
WHERE: 2000 block of Ganyard Dr. 77043.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $172,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a shed fire had spread to nearby houses. With a report of trapped residents, they conducted a primary search, however determined everyone was safely outside. Additional HFD units were requested as crews controlled the fire that had spread to the attic of the nearby home. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire, including firefighters from Stations 2, 5, 78, 49, 50, 69, 77, 57, 15, Rescue 10 and Rehab 42.
