INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $405,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 2-story house and made an offensive attack. They extinguished the fire and determined that a propane bottle for a grill was leaking and flared up causing a fire under a breezeway connecting the detached garage to the home. Most of the damage was contained to the garage and breezeway. 41 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 5, 38, 49 and 77.
