WHAT: House Fire

WHERE: 7300 block of Guadalcanal, 77033
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $8.1 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $90 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find a 1-story home fully involved on fire. They made a defensive attack and extinguished the fire within about 10 minutes. There were downed power lines, and the electric company was requested. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the resident, and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 46, 35, 26, 23, 24 and 40 responded to this incident.
