DAMAGE: $6.5 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming form a 1-story house. They found and extinguished a small fire in the attic. A primary search was completed, and the utilities were secured. Crews conducted salvage and overhaul and the homeowners were advised to have a certified electrician repair the damage prior to turning the power back on. Firefighters from Stations 26, 46, 24, 35 and 55 responded to this incident.
