WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 28, 2024, at 12:27 p.m.
WHERE: 5400 block of Ridgeway Dr. 77033.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $93,751 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $22,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the home and conducted a primary search. The utilities were secured, and the fire was extinguished. Crews remained on scene to clear out the carport storage area due to heavy charring. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 21, 23, 26, 46, 35, 40, 24 and 80.
