WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: July 4, 2022 at 11:03 p.m.
WHERE: 5600 block of Woodgreen, 77033
INJURIES: One firefighter transported to the hospital for burns to fingers.
PROPERTY SAVED: $96,400 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from the roof of a 1-story home and made an offensive attack. They forced entry and upon entering a firefighter burned his fingers and was transported to the hospital. A primary search was completed, and the house was ventilated. Crews extinguished the fire and found no extension. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Statins 46, 35, 55, 26, 24, 15, 23 and 36 responded to this incident.
