WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 23, 2024, at 7:16 p.m.
WHERE: 11400 block of Sagehurst Ln. 77089.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A neighbor spotted the fire and had attempted to extinguish it with a garden house prior to HFD’s arrival. The crews completed a primary search and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 93, 23, 70, 71, 52, 61, 24 and Rehab 17.
