WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 1, 2024, at 1:06 a.m.
WHERE: 11000 block of Green Arbor Dr. 77089.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $75,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated property damaged.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a 1-story house with most of the fire coming from the garage. They attacked the fire in the attic area of the garage and conducted a primary search and secondary search. The family had safely gotten out of the home before HFD arrived. The crews extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 29 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 23, 26, 70, 52, 61 and 71.
