WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: October 29, 2022 at 12:59 p.m.
WHERE: 8500 block of Dashwood Dr. 77036.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $5,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from the side of a 1-story house. A fire was found the in the vent hood and cabinets above the stove, extending to the attic. Crews extinguished the fire and checked for extension. A primary search was completed, and firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul. Crews from Stations 51, 68, 83, 10, 60 and 76 responded to this incident.
