WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: February 21, 2025, at 11:29 a.m.
WHERE: 6300 block of Edgemoor Dr. 77074.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $355,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (space heater).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with smoke coming from a 1-story house. Neighbors indicated there was still people inside and a primary and secondary search was completed. No one was found. Crews made an attack on the fire, ventilated the roof and controlled and the utilities. The fire was controlled and it was determined a space heater was most likely the origin. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the family. 47 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 28, 37, 51, 60 and 57.
