WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 30, 2023, at 8:32 p.m.
WHERE: 9700 block of Langdale Rd. 77076.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $189,400 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $10,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find light smoke coming from a 1-story house and found a small fire on the exterior that extended up into the outside wall and in the eaves. They controlled the fire and checked for extension inside the house and attic. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 22 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 34, 30 and 58.
