DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source (electrical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed with no one found. Crews extinguished the fire, including a grass and rubbish fire near the home and notified CenterPoint to secure the utilities. The fire appeared to have originated on the front porch near an electrical outlet. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 58, 15, 31, 34 and 30.
