WHERE: 200 block of Palmyra St. 77022.
INJURIES: One civilian treated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED: $100,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $120,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire and smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They completed a primary search and ventilated the house with fans. The resident was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. The crews controlled and extinguished the fire that originated from a cable box in a bedroom. 40 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 31, 34 and 30.
