WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: July 10, 2024, at 8:01 p.m.
WHERE: 10500 block of E. Bauman at Sunnyside St. 77076.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $50,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $175,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source. (generator).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. The house was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. The utilities were secured, and the nearby exposures were checked for extension. The crews quickly extinguished the fire that had extended into the carport over the garage and into the attic space. A generator was being used on the back porch and caught fire, then spread to the house through an overhang. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 32, 15, 31, 34, 30, 56, 58 and 67.
