CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house with fire coming from a door. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Crews extinguished the fire, containing it to the kitchen area with smoke damage throughout the home. The owner noticed fire involving a freezer and attempted to extinguish it after turning the power off to the home. 33 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 58, 31, 34, 56, 67, 27 and 30.
