WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 13, 2023, at 8:05 a.m.
WHERE: 800 block of De Boll St. 77022.
INJURIES: Two firefighters injured and treated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $65,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy fire coming from a 1-story house. They made an offensive attack and secured the utilities. The home was ventilated, and a primary search was attempted, however due to conditions inside, the search was delayed. The residents were all safely out of the home. Crews extinguished the fire and ensured all hotspots were out. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 34 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 30, 15, 31, 34 and 58.
