WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: September 25, 2024, at 11:04 a.m.
WHERE: 12000 block of Coulson Circle, 77015.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $100,000 in estimated property / content saved.
DAMAGE: $70,000 in estimated property / content damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a house with part of the roof burned away. The radiant heat was starting to damage a nearby home and crews protected it as they made an attack on the fire. Once the fire was controlled, firefighters pulled the ceiling to access the attic to ensure all hot spots were fully extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 31 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 23, 20, 45, 41, 44, 53, 30, Rescue 42 and Rehab 8.
