INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $110,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $51,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke and fire coming from the eves of a 2-story boarded-up house and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the roof and performed a primary search. The utilities were secured, and CenterPoint was notified due to a downed powerline on the side of the home. Crews extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 16, 15, 6, 8, 7 and 24.
