WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: January 2, 2022 at 6:28 a.m.
WHERE: 2700 block of Cochran St. 77009
INJURIES: One civilian found deceased inside the home.
PROPERTY SAVED: $145 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $20 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from a small 1-story home. They conducted a primary search and began an attack on the fire. Unfortunately, a deceased civilian was found inside. The crews ventilated the home and completed extinguishment efforts. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 19, 9, 12, 15, 30, 6 and 7 responded to this incident.
