WHAT: House Fire

WHERE: 4200 block of Edison, 77009
INJURIES: One civilian evaluated on scene.
PROPERTY SAVED: $22,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $42,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find a house on fire. They removed burglar bars from the house to gain entry and controlled the fire within 15 minutes. A resident was evaluated on scene by HFD EMS. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the occupants and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 15, 6, 19, 9, 12 and 30 responded to this incident.
