House Fire in The Midtown Area

WHAT: House fire.

WHEN: Today, February 8, 2023 at 1:20 a.m.

WHERE: 1500 block of Isabella St. 77004.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.

DAMAGE: $65,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE :HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (unspecified electrical malfunction).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire and smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and ventilated the roof, after which the roof began to deteriorate and collapse. Crews switched to a defensive attack and after the conditions improved entered the home to complete extinguishment. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 16, 25, 6, 8, 7, 33 and 8 responded to this incident.
