WHERE: 5400 block of Ariel St. 77096.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $335,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made a fast attack and ventilated the roof. A primary search was completed, and the fire was extinguished. Crews conducted property conservation and found the fire was caused by an electrical short in the attic area. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 48, 2, 28, 68, 51, 82 and 24.
